While Ed was off serving his country throughout World War II, many of the northern Italian immigrants of Pittsburgh's premier Little Italy that remained were active members in the Beneficial Society of North Italy. As Mr. Paraggio recounts in this oral history clip, his father, along with Pietro Leisure, were founders of the Beneficial Society of North Italy. Listen as Mr. Paraggio talks of the vision of this fraternal organization.
