All throughout his service in World War II, Vince corresponded with Mary Menniti, a young woman he had met shortly before his departure for basic training.  Throughout the course of Vince’s military service, their love for one another grew.  Understanding the importance of gaining the respect and approval of Mary’s family, Vince used his position in the reinforcement unit to locate Mary’s brothers, who were also serving in Europe.  Listen as Vince recounts his encounters with Frank and Peter Menniti.
